Beginning your counselling journey
FREE – Counselling Training Taster
Explore whether counselling training could be right for you with CPCAB's free, self-paced introduction to becoming a counsellor.

Level 3 – Counselling Studies
Deepen your understanding of counselling theory, ethics and self-awareness while continuing to develop your practical counselling skills.

Level 2 – Counselling Skills
Develop foundational counselling skills while exploring self-awareness, relationships and the counselling process. No previous counselling experience is required.

Level 4 – Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Undertake practitioner-level training combining theory, counselling skills, personal development and supervised counselling practice.

Advanced & specialist training
Level 5 – Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Develop your practice beyond your core qualification through deeper exploration of psychotherapeutic theory, self-awareness and therapeutic practice.

Level 5 – CYP (11+)
Develop the specialist knowledge, skills and creative approaches needed to work therapeutically with children and young people aged 11 and over.
